As a teaser for the Keys To Freedom: Private Yoga Business Mastery online course, here is your 100% FREE 5-Point quickie cheat sheet to get your private yoga biz ship-shape!
1) The BEST Way to Find Private Yoga Students.
Reflect on your strengths, passions, and what you love to teach. Think about what kinds of students are looking for what you have to offer. Let your marketing materials be both a reflection of your offering and a way of speaking directly to the type of private yoga student with whom you want to work.
(Week One of Keys To Freedom will give you the tools, exercises and support to do this…)
2) If No-one Knows You Exist it Simply DOESN’T MATTER How Good (or nice, or spiritual) You Are!
We live in the age of websites, social media, blogs and email newsletters. Failing to educate yourself in this aspect of setting up a business doing something you love is akin to shooting yourself in the foot you’re standing on, while the other leg is behind your head! Putting yourself out into the world and creating a perception about what you do, and then communicating with those interested in what you have to offer is part of running your own business.
Get over your spiritual squeamishness and jump in —the water is lovely and your future students can’t wait to hear from you!
(Week Two of Keys To Freedom Supports you in setting up your “simple marketing loop”…)
3) Why Knowing and Sticking To Your Price is CRUCIAL.
In your first conversation with a prospective private yoga client, you are setting the tone of the relationship. You should be friendly but professional. Knowing your price is one indicator that you are confident and comfortable in the role for which you are auditioning! Think it through, ask around, do your research, and then stick to your chosen price. Devaluing yourself is not a good place to start, and sounding wishy-washy is not good either.
Get clear on what feels right to you and fits what the market can sustain in your target demographic’s area, and then practice saying it out loud until you are comfortable.
(Keys To Freedom will unpack further how to go through this process..)
4) Why You MUST have a Strict Cancellation Policy!
You are entering the business realm of professionals who work by the hour, providing high value services. When someone cancels it is a significant loss for you. If they give you enough time, you can contact someone else on your cancellation list to fill the spot, and everybody wins.
Being clear up front with your new clients on your cancellation policy, and explaining briefly and kindly why you will need them to pay in full should they cancel late, keeps everything clear and clean and helps make your business sustainable. Boundaries, baby!
(Keys To Freedom covers the scripts, boundaries and “frame” of how you communicate with your new clients in some detail during Week Three…)
5) Booking-Out In Advance Is Key.
Once your “simple marketing loop” is established for you as a business-generating machine, your new problem will be that you have more potential clients contacting you than you can see in a week —especially if you are exercising self-care and setting good boundaries for how much you work. Establishing a pattern of booking your existing clients for several weeks or even months in advance, with series’ of sessions that you sell as packages is part of how you sustain the consistency of your business. New clients then can book for times in the future when you know your existing clients are going to be out-of-town, and/or can be on the cancellation list for when that occurs.
This approach accurately reflects the in-demand nature of your time once your business is running smoothly and you are delivering a great service doing something you love!
Keys To Freedom is your guide to going from zero to having a successful private yoga business that pays your bills and serves as a foundation for your other yoga goals!
